This action requires an email or a user ID to be provided, if both are provided then the ID will be preferred over the email.

Only custom groups can have users added to them, if a subgroup is selected the action will add the user to any pre-requesite parent groups. This action requires an email or a user ID to be provided, if both are provided then the ID will be preferred over the email.

FAQ

Common questions about Circle + Disco

Is there a pre-built Circle + Disco automation?

Not yet, but Knit's Integrations Agent can build one — describe what you want and it researches Circle and Disco's public API docs (or your own uploaded docs) and builds a working automation.

Does this require a pre-built Circle or Disco connector?

No. The Agent works whether or not Circle or Disco already has a pre-built connector in Knit's catalog — it researches the real API surface either way.

How long does it take to build?

Minutes to build a first working version, not weeks — you test it against real data before it goes anywhere near production.

Can students automatically join communication channels upon enrollment?

Yes, enrolling in a course in Disco can automatically invite the student to the corresponding class discussion channel in Circle.

How can instructors get notified about course completions?

When a student finishes a course in Disco, a direct message or channel alert can be sent immediately in Circle.
