Triggers
QuoteWerks: Contact Search Requested

Triggers when a QuoteWerks user (with their CRM set to Zapier) clicks Search in the SoldTo/ShipTo/BillTo contact lookup. Your Zap should search your CRM for the requested term, then end with the "Respond to QuoteWerks Intent" action so QWW can populate the contact grid. QWW will time out after 30 seconds.

QuoteWerks: Opportunity Fetch Requested

Triggers when QuoteWerks needs the current values of a linked CRM opportunity to pre-fill the Create/Update Opportunity dialog. Your Zap should run a "Find Deal/Opportunity by ID" step using the trigger's Existing Opportunity ID, then end with the "Respond to QuoteWerks Opportunity Fetch" action. Picklists (Stages, Owners, etc.) are fetched separately via the "Opportunity Form Init Requested" trigger — don't bundle them here.

QuoteWerks: Opportunity Form Init Requested

Triggers when QuoteWerks needs to populate the Create/Update Opportunity dialog's dropdowns from your CRM. Your Zap should fetch the picklists you want to expose (Pipelines, Stages, Owners, Deal Types, Forecasts — any subset) and end with the "Respond to QuoteWerks Opportunity Init" action. Any list you omit stays free-text in QuoteWerks. QWW will time out after 30 seconds and fall back to free-text.

QuoteWerks: Opportunity Upsert Requested

Triggers when a QuoteWerks user (with their CRM set to Zapier) saves a quote with the "Create/Update Opportunity" checkbox enabled. Your Zap should create the opportunity in your CRM (or update it if existingOpportunityId is populated), then end with the "Respond to QuoteWerks Opportunity Upsert" action so QWW can store the resulting opportunity ID on the document. QWW will time out after 30 seconds.

QuoteWerks: Product Search Requested

Triggers when a QuoteWerks user runs a product search against a Zapier-backed catalog data source. Your Zap should query your catalog for the requested terms, then end with the "Respond to QuoteWerks Product Search" action so QWW can populate the product results grid. QWW will time out after 30 seconds. Each Zap is tied to ONE QuoteWerks data source row via its Data Source ID (paste it from Setup → Product Data Sources in QuoteWerks).

Document Converted

Triggers when a document is converted (e.g., Quote to Order) in QuoteWerks.

Actions
Create Line Item

Adds a line item (DocumentItem) to an existing quote in QuoteWerks.

Create Quote

Creates a new quote (DocumentHeader) in QuoteWerks.

Respond to QuoteWerks Contact Search

Sends a list of contacts back to a QuoteWerks user who is waiting on a contact search. Use this in pair with the "QuoteWerks: Contact Search Requested" trigger. Map the Callback Token from the trigger, then map each Contacts field ONCE — Zapier zips your CRM's per-record fields into the array of contacts QuoteWerks displays. No Code by Zapier or JSON authoring required.

Respond to QuoteWerks Opportunity Fetch

Sends the current values of a linked CRM opportunity back to QuoteWerks so the Create/Update Opportunity dialog can open pre-filled instead of blank. Use in pair with the "QuoteWerks: Opportunity Fetch Requested" trigger. Map the Callback Token from the trigger, then map each opportunity field from your CRM's Find Deal/Opportunity step.

Respond to QuoteWerks Opportunity Init

Sends CRM picklists back to QuoteWerks so the Create/Update Opportunity dialog can show real dropdowns. Use in pair with the "QuoteWerks: Opportunity Form Init Requested" trigger. Map the Callback Token from the trigger, then map whichever picklists your CRM offers (Stages, Owners, Types, Forecasts) — each list is independent and any omitted list falls back to free-text in QuoteWerks.

Respond to QuoteWerks Opportunity Upsert

Sends the new (or updated) CRM opportunity ID back to a QuoteWerks user who is waiting on an opportunity upsert. Use this in pair with the "QuoteWerks: Opportunity Upsert Requested" trigger. Map the Callback Token from the trigger and the Opportunity ID from your CRM's create/update step. QuoteWerks stores the ID on the document so the next save updates the same opportunity.

FAQ

Common questions about NetSuite + QuoteWerks

Is there a pre-built NetSuite + QuoteWerks automation?

Not yet, but Knit's Integrations Agent can build one — describe what you want and it researches NetSuite and QuoteWerks's public API docs (or your own uploaded docs) and builds a working automation.

Does this require a pre-built NetSuite or QuoteWerks connector?

No. The Agent works whether or not NetSuite or QuoteWerks already has a pre-built connector in Knit's catalog — it researches the real API surface either way.

How long does it take to build?

Minutes to build a first working version, not weeks — you test it against real data before it goes anywhere near production.

Why would a team need to connect two CRM systems?

Common reasons include a merger or acquisition where each side kept its own CRM, or separate teams (direct sales vs. partner-led) standardized on different tools that still need shared contact and deal data.

Does this cause duplicate contact records?

No — the Agent can match on email or a shared identifier to update an existing contact in the other system instead of creating a duplicate.
