FAQs
All the common questions around Knit’s AI Workflow Builder
What is Knit's Integrations Agent?
Knit's Integrations Agent is an AI Workflow Builder that turns a plain-English description of an integration into a deployed, working workflow — including the code, authentication, and error handling.
Does the Integrations Agent actually write code, or is it a black box?
It writes real, working code. If you're technical, you can review it, edit it, and make it your own before deploying.
Can I review or edit a workflow before it deploys?
Yes. Refine it conversationally by chatting with the Integrations Agent, or edit the code directly and have it rebuild the workflow before you deploy.
How is the Integrations Agent different from Zapier or n8n?
Knit's Integrations Agent is code-first, not a drag-and-drop canvas. Instead of building a flow visually, you describe what you want in natural language and get real code — no technical background required. It also supports a broad set of enterprise apps that most consumer-facing workflow builders don't cover.
Is this meant for internal teams or for building into a product?
Built for internal automation — individual teams or entire enterprises automating their own workflows with the Integrations Agent. It's flexible enough to support either use case.
What happens if a connected app changes its API?
The Integrations Agent monitors the integration and updates it automatically, so the workflow doesn't silently break.
Do I need engineering resources to use the Integrations Agent?
No. Describe the workflow in plain English and the agent handles the technical implementation. If you do have engineering resources, they can go deeper — reviewing, editing, and owning the generated code directly.
Which apps can I connect through the Integrations Agent?
Any of Knit's 150+ integrations across HRIS, ATS, CRM, accounting, and other categories. View the integrations here - http://www.getknit.dev/integrations
How is data handled — does GDPR or similar apply?
Yes. All of Knit's standard security and compliance policies apply to workflows built through the Integrations Agent. Knit is SOC2 Type II, GDPR and ISO Certified.
What does it cost to run workflows built with the AI Workflow Builder?
Pricing has two components: AI credits, consumed when the agent generates or edits a workflow, and run credits, consumed each time a deployed workflow executes. Plans are sized to your expected usage of both. Generally each workflow run consumes 1 run credit.
Is "Integrations Agent" the same thing as the "AI Workflow Builder"?
Yes — Integrations Agent is Knit's product name for its AI Workflow Builder. The two terms refer to the same capability.
